The Problem
The previous website for KC Firestone Events struggled to communicate their services through a lack of color, character, and personality. The visual representation of their website struggled to feel legitimate or trustworthy.
Key Drivers & Deliverables
The areas that I have focused on in improving are the title page, navigation, messaging section, contact section, about section, and stylistic changes.
Style Tile
The goal for creating a style tile was to help convey the brand and venues personality in visual language.
Component Library
The goal for creating a component library was to establish the guidelines and visual consistencies for the a brand.
Mockups
The goal for creating the mockups was to help put the styles, components, and brand character
together to provide a visual example to process.
Prototypes
The goal for creating a prototype was to show functionality of the entire design in action.

Takeaways
The changes that were made focused on 6 heuristics. (Match between system and the real world, user control and freedom, consistency and standards, recognition rather than recall, flexibility and efficiency of use, aesthetic and minimalist design.) By designing a minimalistic and modern design, users have more efficient ease of use. This design conveys consistency and familiarity while still providing the user with control and freedom.
I foresee next steps consisting of testing for usability through the functional prototypes.
